In August Tony's work told him that they wanted him to relocate to Columbus by November 12th. We began to prepare immediately, getting the house ready to sell, sorting, packing the things we would need, garage sale, canning, looking for a new place to live, and trying to prepare ourselves for all the many changes that we were going to be experiencing. The biggest of witch was Tony working at the office instead of home. I have been so blessed to have him at home for more than 10 years. Those three months flew by and on November 1st. we began a new chapter in our lives. With a U-Haul trailer and the truck loaded beyond capacity we said good-bye to family and friends and headed out to Columbus Ohio. We planned to make it to Cheyenne WY the first day. We were staying at the Hilton and after dinner we got in the elevator to go to our room, there was this guy on the elevator with us, he was carrying a set of antlers still bloody from just being cut from the deer. Only in Wyoming. The trip was a little stressful. We had loaded the trailer so full that we could only drive 65mph or it would start to fishtail. Luckily the roads were good. We had the truck in the shop for a week prior to leaving to make sure that it was in good repair. On the third day we were driving along when we lost the radio then all gauges and electrical went dead. Since there is ALOT of nothing between Idaho and Ohio we got a little concerned. The Lord was looking out for us, there was an exit just ahead. We pulled off and the motor died on the off ramp. But just a short distance was a Ford dealership. Tony set off walking to get some help. A man pulled up and asked him if he needed a ride. Tony told him he was just going to the dealership down the road. He said "get in I own that dealership." (He was driving a Chevy, come to find out he owned that dealership also) The alternator had gone out. We were back on the road in an hour. I'm sure it didn't hurt to get out of the owners truck. We were very happy to arrive in Columbus and get rid of the trailer. For the past couple of months we have been getting settled in. Our new ward is small and very young. There are 9 or 10 High priest in attendance each week, I was invited to join a group of ladies over 50 for lunch once a month, there are only 12 of them. Too bad I wasn't 50 yet! The winter is milder than Idaho but the cold seems worse because of the humidity. There is less snow and the temperatures are in the high 20's to mid 30's. We are looking forward to summer and checking out all the great parks they have here. I have been asked to show pictures of our place here so here they are

Our home in Columbus.
OK not really this is the club house at the apartment we live at.
This is what we see out our front door. The pond looks really nice in the warmer months. It usually has ducks and geese in it.
One day I was looking out the back door and saw this hawk fly into the yard. He had a bird in his claws. As we watched he devoured his lunch leaving only the feathers, the he flew off to the hay stack in the field behind the house
Here are the ducks and geese out front of the apt.
